October, 2018 - Local 258 IBEW members working at Rokstad and at Valley Traffic were instrumental in helping out again this year with the St. Paul's Hospital Foundation "Lights of Hope" spectacular lighting display adorning the front of the hospital on Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver.
The Lights of Hope is an annual fundraising event that supports patient care, research and equipment for the tertiary care hospital that treats patients from across British Columbia. Local 258 IBEW has been a long-standing supporter of this annual event.
Members attended on the morning of Saturday October 27th and helped out with setting up the massive display. The Rokstad crew used their bucket truck to mount the lighting displays while members from Valley Traffic helped control pedestrians and traffic on busy Burrard Street.
Local 258 IBEW Assistant Business Manager Dan Klassen was on hand to support and thank the union's volunteers.
The official lighting ceremony takes place on Friday, November 16th starting at 6:00 pm.
