November, 2018 - The annual United Way workplace fundraising campaigns are underway across British Columbia and this is your opportunity to help raise funds for vital and much-needed support and programs that the United Way funds to directly benefit and strengthen your community.
Labour and the United Way have had a strong and long time partnership that has been supported by Local 258 IBEW for many years. “The United Way programs and services provide so much for so many who are in need. And with our labour partnership, union members benefit from the “Union Counsellor Training” program that helps train union members to help union members in their time of need,” said Brother Doug McKay, Local 258 IBEW Business Manager/Financial Secretary.
Local 258 IBEW's Brother Mark Davison has returned this year as the union's United Way Campaign Associate after a successful contribution to last year's campaign.
For members working at BC Hydro, the workplace campaign runs until November 9th and your donation can be made directly online or with a pledge form.
