October, 2016 – Local 258 IBEW journeyman and apprentice Power Line Technicians (PLTs) are travelling to Kansas to compete in the 33rd Annual International Lineman’s Rodeo taking place from October 12th to 15th that will feature over 200 teams from electric utility companies (both public and private) and more than 300 apprentices competing from across the United States and Canada.
Sponsored by their signatory employers, BC Hydro and private line contractor Rokstad, Local 258 IBEW members will be competing in journeyman team events and apprentices will be competing in individual events that include a written test.
A Safety & Training Conference is being held in conjunction with the Rodeo that also features an Expo, a Friday night Barbecue and a Saturday night awards banquet.
